US Dept of Commerce Appoints Reynolds to Advisory Committee
Florida’s Heartland Regional Economic Development Initiative (FHREDI) President/CEO, Gina Reynolds, has been appointed by the U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary, Penny Pritzker to serve a two-year term on the Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness. Read More

Gulfshore Insurance Announces Expansion into Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Plans to Add New Jobs
Officials from the company, Brad Havemeier and Tim Spear worked closely to craft an expansion plan which will result in hiring additional Sales and Service professionals to support the expansion.  Gulfshore Insurance associates have been managing business and personal risk for over 44 years in Naples, Florida. The expansion of their business started in Marco Island, years later they opened in Fort Myers and 3 years ago they opened an office on the east coast in Weston. Read More

Coaxicom Manufactures Virtually Non-Magnetic SMA Connectors
Coaxial Components Corp. recently introduced a truly non-magnetic SMA connector series in response to the growing medical equipment industry. In the past, ferromagnetic steel connectors left trace quantities of magnetic material present in the strike layers or as material impurities, causing magnetic fields of 1 milligauss or more. This level of magnetism was sufficient to impair the functioning of highly sensitive equipment. Read More

Headquarters Continue to Call JAX Home
In the last two months, four companies have selected the Jacksonville region as the site for new U.S. headquarters operations. Adecco Group North America, the nation's leading provider of workforce and recruitment solutions, announced last month it plans to move its corporate headquarters from New York to Jacksonville, bringing with it 185 high-wage jobs. The company plans to invest $3.4 million in the local economy as a result of this relocation. Read More
