Created by the International Economic Development Council in 2016, the goal of Economic Development Week (EDW) is to increase awareness for local programs that create jobs, advance career development opportunities, and increase the quality of life in communities everywhere.
Economic Development Week includes activities in communities large and small designed to highlight the importance of economic development and the good work that economic developers do every day.
The Florida Chamber of Commerce is uniting business for good by inviting FEDC members to join 150+ local chambers of commerce as we lead our communities' efforts to restart and recover Florida’s economy. Through the Chamber Restart and Recovery Task Force, we are collaborating as cities, counties, mayors, economic developers, and job creators around a common framework that customizes the safest and smartest regional reopening of Florida’s economy.
FEDC is pleased to share this toolkit of resources including a framework for designing a community restart and recovery plan and a related communications strategy.
Please feel free to customize these tools to best suit your local needs.
The year started with record unemployment, workforce strategies, and an aggressive approach to place marketing. Then there was COVID-19.
Join leaders from Development Counsellors International as they discuss pivots and innovations in marketing to talent, businesses, and stakeholders in the current crisis environment.
