Florida SBDC Network’s Commitment to Small Business Success

Florida and business success are synonymous. It is no mistake that the Sunshine State consistently ranks as one of the top states to start, operate, and grow a successful business. Florida’s business climate is made even more competitive by the variety of organizations focused on economic prosperity, including the Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network and the Florida Economic Development Council (FEDC), who work together alongside many others to make up Florida’s principal business development organizations with a shared mission to foster the growth and success of all businesses in the state.

Specifically, the Florida SBDC Network provides tools, training, and resources to help small businesses grow and succeed. Designated as “Florida’s principal provider of small business assistance,” the Florida SBDC Network has more than 40 offices from Pensacola to Key West to serve the needs of Florida’s business community. Since 1976, our network of partners has helped construct a statewide ecosystem to foster the spirit, support, and success of hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs and innovators. Since 1976, Florida SBDCs have assisted more than 1.2 million emerging and growing businesses by providing the professional expertise, tools, and information necessary to make sound business decisions in a complex and ever-changing marketplace.

In addition to the Florida SBDC’s core service offerings of consulting provided at no-cost, training, and business research, the Florida SBDC Network also provides a comprehensive toolkit of specialized services for qualifying businesses looking to accelerate market growth, including Growth Acceleration, Capital Access, International Trade, Government Contracting, and Business Continuation.

To show our dedication to small business growth in Florida and across the country, the Florida SBDC Network is excited to announce a new partnership with the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship to co-host the Small Business Leadership Conference, which will be held June 26-28, 2019 in Orlando, FL.

This conference is the premier professional development and networking opportunity for small business owners, managers, executives, economic and community development leaders, marketing and business professionals, nonprofits, and more in Florida and beyond. We will offer attendees an opportunity to hear inspiring keynotes, attend engaging workshops, and learn strategies to ignite strategic growth. For more information about the conference, visit
