While we were unable to hold the annual press event in the Capitol, we are excited to continue the 2021 Advocacy Strategy with Florida Economic Development Week.
This social media showcase celebrates the work that you do in partnership with regions and communities to strengthen Florida’s economy and shape our state’s future growth.
Here are a few ideas you can use to raise awareness about your organization’s work on social media:
Share testimonials from companies about why they chose your community for relocation or expansion.
Shine the spotlight on some local talent! Post an interview with a Florida college or university grad who landed a dream job in your community.
Post an open hot job or two from employers in your market.
Voice your support for critically needed tools such as Quick Response Training and the Florida Job Growth Grant Fund proposed in Governor DeSantis’ budget.
Celebrate those elected officials and leaders who’ve championed economic development.
Post key facts, rankings, and other points of pride about your business community.
All month long, the FEDC will be focused on highlighting economic, workforce, and community development strategies critical to restoring Florida’s economy and aiding Floridians who lost their jobs to find new ones.
Got some expertise to share? We’d love to hear from you for a guest column in an upcoming edition of the newsletter or the 2021 FEDC Letter Series.
