Greetings - This is a direct request to all of you who love traveling, cooking foreign foods, learning new languages and broadening your horizons: please come out for the show on Wednesday with Brazilian-Mexican band Francisco, El Hombre. Lena's Nordlys Global Voices series is a rare treasure and I want you to experience one of these joyful cultural exchanges! This is the kind of positivity we all need right now.

We also have a really great FREE show for you! We are joining Celebrate Saratoga! on Thursday, July 14 by offering a free show with the great guitarist Thor Jensen and his trio, who you will recognize from the Stephane Wrembel Band. We will also have a set of soul, pop and R&B with Roosevelt Baker & JP Hubbs in our downstairs lobby from 6 - 7 PM. Come downtown before 5 PM when parking is less pressured, grab dinner in the neighborhood, and enjoy an evening of music and strolling.

GRAMMY-nominated harmonica master Paparozzi has worked across the music spectrum since 1967, embracing rock to blues to jazz to pop. He has played with B.B. King, Dr. John, Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston, Carole King, Roberta Flack, Culture Club, Cyndi Lauper, Randy Newman, Jimmy McGriff and James Galway and served years as frontman for Blood Sweat and Tears.

This Mexican-Brazilian band mixes folkloric Latin rhythms with a gypsy spirit. They sing in Portuguese and Spanish and are becoming a major presence throughout Latin America. We're catching them on their first tour of the USA and Canada where they're making waves at clubs and small festival stages. Wherever you find them, Francisco, El Hombre's contagious energy is thrilling!

This fabulous guitarist's last decade will make your head spin. He played Americana with Quiet Life, opening for The Head and the Heart and Shovels and Rope. Then pivoted into the breakneck Gypsy jazz of Stephane Wrembel Band, playing Carnegie Hall and stages around the world. Then joined world/roots band Hazmat Modine, playing stateside and throughout Russia. This new album is a feast of fabulous guitar riffs and Thor's cool songwriting. He'll be joined by Nick Anderson (drums) and Ari Folman-Cohen (bass).

Robin and Linda Williams’ 24th recording, “A Better Day A-Coming,” has re-energized a four decade career which has included thousands of concerts on three continents, in settings both grand and intimate. They've been playing our stage since the early 1970s. Their beautiful southern mountain, gospel-infused songs have been recorded by Mary Chapin Carpenter, Emmylou Harris, Tom T. Hall, Tim and Mollie O’Brien and the Seldom Scene, to name a few.

Father and son John and Orion Kribs are stellar multi-instrumentalists whose eclectic careers have covered everything from rockabilly to blues to Irish music. They're joined this evening by Keanan Stark on harmonica, guitar and banjo. Their original songs reflect a wide range of Americana inspiration and a lifetime of playing, listening and learning together.

This Virginia-based Americana band lives in the creative space between tradition and innovation, informed by the familiar sounds of the Virginia mountains where they met, but always pushing forward into today's roots styles. During the pandemic they held their community together by crafting songs for individual fans, converting personal experiences into emotional lyrics and melodies that reveal the universal in each story.
