CSD&M 2014
SystemX was, once again, partner of CSD&M conference and, therefore, particularly involved in its organization since Paul Labrogere and François Stephan, Program directors, were members of the boarding committee. Automobile sector workshop
At the occasion of a SIA workshop that took place on November 20th, François Stephan, Program Director at SystemX, participated to a round table around the automatically-piloted vehicle plan. It was runned by Jean-François Sencerin, Deputy VP Research at Renault & SystemX Board of Directors' member and manager of this plan. Find out more.

How to make your application scalable?
Vincent Cassé, developer at OVH, came to SystemX on November 26th, to run a training explaining how to make an application scalable. In two hours,he presented the Dos and Don'ts. Download his slide deck.

Inria Industry meeting
SystemX was partner of the Inria Industry meeting that took place on November 12th, and that was focused on Data Analytics. This event allowed researchers to display demonstrations and offers several conferences to explain how to make data valuable. Find out more.

ENSAM's visit
ENSAM's representants (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers) went to SystemX in order to discover research activities at SystemX, in the fields of transport and energy. This was the occasion for SystemX to present LRA and SCE projects. The guests also had the opportunity to try SystemX's Dr SIHMI, Driving Simulator for Human Machine Interaction.


SMPS 2014
Systematic PARIS-REGION and the Etablissement Public Paris-Saclay organized the first edition of the Smart Manufacturing Paris-Saclay conference. For the first time, all the actors of the advanced manufacturing field were gathered for an event. Around 300 people attended the event. Eric Perrin-Pelletier, CEO of SystemX, participated to a round-table about Additive Manufacturing. Download his slide deck.

For its 25th birthday, the IEEE VIS conference took place in Paris. This was the first time that it was hold in Europe. From November 9th to 14th, the event proposed 8 workshops, 10 tutorials, 6 panels and more than 150 articles and posters. SystemX sponsored this edition that beat records in terms of participation with more than 1000 visitors. Find out more.

Openstack Summit 2014
The Openstack Summit 2014 took place in Palais des Congrès (Paris) from November 3rd to 7th. Hundreds of sessions were organized around this open source cloud framework. Representants from 29 countries were present, proving this ecosystem's strength. Learn more.

R&D projects

ISE project

SystemX keeps exploring stakes linked to autonomous and connected vehicules with ISE project. Indeed, it aims to develop road safety and mobility cooperative applications based on data exchanges (position, speed, trajectory, etc.). Read the press release.

SIM project

William W. Edmonson, from the National Institute of Aerospace, came to SystemX to give a talk entitled "Responsive and Formal Design Methodology: An Integration of MBSE and Formal Methods". He kindly accepted SIM project's invitation. Download his slide deck.

ELA project

FELIN is a PSPC project (Projets structurants des pôles de compétitivité), partly funded by the Investment for the Future Program. Its goal is to develop both integrated circuit chips and new generation equipments for connected objects in 4G, as cars for example. ELA project is contributing to this project by establishing reference architecture with car manufacturers like Renault and PSA Peugeot-Citroën. They are particularly interested in specifications. ARE project

ARE project has joined the NSF NDN (Named Data Networking) international testbed and the node is up and running. The testbed status page and the traffic map are available. For the record, the NDN project "aims to develop a new Internet architecture that can capitalize on strengths — and address weaknesses — of the Internet’s current host-based, point-to-point communication architecture in order to naturally accommodate emerging patterns of communication".

Book release
Frédéric Magoules, APA project's member, has just released a new book entitled Patterns for Parallel Programming on GPU's. Every chapter of this book is written by different authors who present a state-of-art, innovative methods, relevant programming techniques and useful algorithms for parallel computing on GPU's.
