Our PhD students’ research in the spotlight!

Autonomous vehicles, cybersecurity, digital simulation, smart city, mobility, blockchain etc... All these topics were raised at the first edition of ThesisDay@SystemX 2017, on February 22! Throughout the afternoon, our PhD students presented their research efforts to over 100 participants.

SystemX organized a special Day dedicated to IA & Autonomous Transport

From March 1 to 3, #FranceIA (national initiative on artificial intelligence) organized the Artificial Intelligence days all over France. In this context, Paul Labrogère (Autonomous Transport Program Director) has been designated to lead a working group dedicated to IA & autonomous transport.
Accordingly, SystemX organized a special day on March 3 where over 80 experts participated in, to share views about Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Transport, and identify new challenges to address. Nathanaël Ackerman (Innovation Advisor – Office of Christophe Sirugue, the Secretary of State for Industry, Digital technology and Innovation) came and took the floor to remind the importance of the working groups set up within the framework of the #FranceIA National Strategy.

A new collaboration with the Pôle Mer Méditerranée

SystemX signed a collaboration agreement with Pôle Mer Méditerranée: a business and innovation world class sea cluster located in South of France. SystemX and Pôle Mer Méditerranée will join their strengths to collaborate on technological and European projects.

Talents in motion

Makhlouf Hadji obtained his HDR

Makhlouf Hadji, research engineer, successfully obtained an Accreditation to conduct research activities (HDR) on the following topic: "Mathematical Optimization Methods for NFV and Cloud Resource Allocation Problems”. This accreditation will notably enable him to supervise PhD students and younger researchers when reinforcing SystemX relationships with academics and industrial partners.

My Thesis in Three Years

Smail Rahmoun, PhD student, completed his doctoral thesis on the subject of "multiple-objectives optimization by composition of model transformations”. He came back on the three years of his doctoral thesis within the FSF project.

Alstom and The CoSMo Company to develop a new rail system efficiency application

This application is expected to set the global standard for energy efficiency and operations optimization. It will allow operators to consider the entirety of their rail operations which has never been done before, as every part of a system is usually assessed separately. It will allow Alstom to design more efficient transport networks and to meet higher performance and service quality standards.

Digital Simulation Trophies

The Digital Simulation Trophies, co-organized by TERATEC, L’Usine Digitale and Industrie & Technologies, is an unmissable meeting for international experts in design and high-performance digital simulation. Six trophies will be given to reward champions in digital simulation, HPC and Big Data. You have a project or an innovative approach to present? Submit your application before April 21!

Internet of Trust

End of the ARE project
The ARE (Network Architecture) project ended. This project was launched in 2013 for the purpose of creating the technical components of the Internet of the Future, which will enable ongoing development of new services in communication and content broadcasting, in the most favorable technological and economic conditions. Discover the project's highlights and results by browsing its interactive timeline.

Smart Territories

Focus on the Blockchain technology
On February 20, SystemX was invited on BFM Business TV Show "Tech&Co", on the Blockchain topic. Charles Kremer, Smart Territories Program Director, talked on this subject on behalf of SystemX and presented the research efforts conducted within the institute's BST project.
