       November 2013

Hello and welcome to the November edition of the Choralis newsletter.

With Christmas just around the corner, it's that time of year where we're all starting to think about Christmas parties, shopping and of course, some much needed time off. Whilst this all sounds great, it's not uncommon to struggle to keep staff motivated in the lead-up to Christmas. To help you out, below we have listed some of the best ways to keep your team enthusiastic and hard-working even if all they can think about is the upcoming festivities.

Keeping staff motivated in the lead-up to Christmas
  • Offer incentives - set special Christmas targets and when they're met, reward your staff. A bottle of their favourite drink, a gift voucher, a team lunch or an afternoon off can work wonders.
  • Use your manners - when employees feel appreciated, they're much happier and far more productive. A simple 'good morning', 'please' and 'thank you' are such simple little things to do yet carry so much weight when it comes to making someone feel valued.
  • Communicate - communication is vital in any relationship, including those at work. In an ideal world, your employees should know exactly what you expect of them and receive frequent feedback regarding how they're meeting their goals.
  • Encourage fun - believe it or not, work doesn't always have to be about work. It's especially important around the holiday season to encourage employees to have a bit of fun with their job. Run competitions, allow fancy dress, decorate the office and hold team events that do not involve work related discussions.
Speaking of Christmas, we will shortly be carrying out our annual tradition of visiting the clients we have worked with over the last year. As many of you will already know from past visits, this is a great way for us to have a quick catch up, make sure you're happy with our service and of course, drop off a festive bottle of wine. We will be contacting many of you over the next couple weeks but if you would like to book yourself in early, feel free to contact us.

That’s it from us this month. As always, if you have any questions or need assistance with any of your recruitment needs, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 01753 – 836290 or drop us an email.

Kind Regards,
The Choralis Team
