Don't Miss MBA Conclave 2020

Not registered yet for MBA Conclave 2020 Virtual Experience? Don't miss it by registering today! And if your schedule doesn't allow attendance for the entire conference, paid registrants will have access to session recordings within the virtual environment through November 30, 2020.

Celebrating success is important. This year, perhaps more than any other, we want to celebrate your work during The Celebration! social event. On Friday, October 16 at 8:10pm ET, join MBA Research staff, Board, and consortium representatives in the MBA Conclave interactive platform for fun, games, and GREAT prizes, including iPads, AirPods, and other tech tools to help make your life as an educator a little easier.

New! Lesson Module on HR

Human resources management is a lot more than just interviewing and hiring! HR managers administer benefits, oversee training and development, ensure compliance, and more. Our new LAP “People Pusher (Nature of Human Resources Management)” shows students just how influential the HR function is in every business. Available to all MBA Learning Center subscribers or for purchase as a direct download in the online store.

October Is National Principals Month

Lend your voice this October to honor, celebrate, and advocate for principals everywhere. Be sure to #ThankAPrincipal for supporting your classroom! And courtesy of the Daniels Fund, be sure to share these FREE LAP modules that can be used with students school-wide to build 21st Century Skills such as ethical decision-making, emotional intelligence, treating others with dignity and respect, taking initiative at work, and consensus building.

Candid Career for High School of Business™

Arranging for work-based learning opportunities is difficult if not impossible this year. An observational internship is an important piece of High School of Business. This year, we are pleased to provide all HSB schools with an account for CandidCareer.com. Using it will expose students to careers and help them with career planning. Candid Career has interviewed thousands of professionals nationwide in order to bring their first-hand knowledge about their career and advice directly to students through video. And, we're please that Candid Career co-founder Billy Glading will be speaking at MBA Conclave this year. Be sure to register to hear from him and nearly 40 other business and education speakers selected just for you.

Learning Center LMS
Share the Love

Did you know? A single annual subscription to the Learning Center may be shared (with separate logins) by up to five different teachers within the same school building or college campus.

Ethics Resource
The Gray Zone

Use The Gray Zone ethical dilemmas to introduce your students to problems and situations that don't have one specific right or wrong answer. This week’s Gray Zone topic: Handling Customer Complaints.

This Gray Zone comes from the Righting Wrongs lesson module (LAP) and aligns to performance indicator CR:010: Handle customer/client complaints.

More resources for teaching ethics are available through the generous support of the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative High School Program.
