Growers can attract bees to orchards
Far more solitary bees than social bumblebees and honeybees were caught in pan traps in apple trees in 2016. Virtually all the solitary bees were ground nesting bees. Solitary bees require nesting sites and the fruit growers can do something to increase the number of sites.
New solutions enhancing safety, quality and value of organic berries
The project, EcoBerries, aims at developing sustainable packaging and processing solutions from the point of view that berries have very short shelf-life and as a result many tons of berries are thrown away each year after harvest and before consumption.
Investigating the significance of soil quality
In the Core Organic Plus project, FertilCrop, the focus is on weeds as indicators of changes in soil conditions. It is useful to know how certain management changes suppress or change the abundance of weeds.

CORE Organic Brokerage Event: Presentations
On December 7, 2016, TP Organics together with ERA-NET CORE Organic, held a Brokerage Event in Brussels. Ivana Trkulja and Arnd Bassler presented the final call text of the ERA-NET CORE Organic and explained the application procedure.
19th Organic World Congress in India
Every three years sector stakeholders come together at the Organic World Congress (OWC), the world’s largest and most significant organic gathering, to discuss and deliberate the issues of the day. The congress takes place from 09-11 November, 2017.
NJF Conference: 'Organics for Tomorrow's Food Systems'
The aim of this conference is to discuss recent research outcomes within organic food and farming and its societal interactions. Abstract submission began 15th of December 2016 and ends on the 28th of February 2017. The conference is held from 19th-21th of June, 2017.
Biofach Science Day
The fifth edition of Science Day will take place at BIOFACH - The World Organic Trade Fair on 17 February 2017 in Nuremberg, Germany.
