Guided Pathways Recognized For
Addressing Inequity in a Time of Crisis
Guided Pathways has been selected to receive the 2021-22 Exemplary Program Award that recognizes outstanding community college programs. This is a Board of Governors award, sponsored by the Foundation for California Community Colleges, and awardees are recognized by the Board at the Board of Governors meeting.
California community colleges have had to adapt to a changing landscape, including fire, pandemic, social injustice, and civil unrest, in order to best serve their students. In light of the work that colleges have done to maintain the focus on student success, the theme selected was of Addressing Inequity in a Time of Crisis for this year’s 2021-22 Exemplary Program Award.
Kim Palmore, Co-Coordinator of the program, says of the award, "This is a significant acknowledgement of all the work the Guided Pathways collective has done in these past years and months. I am so thrilled with our contribution to making De Anza a strong, equity-focused, student-centered, collegial place to work."
The award will be presented (virtually) on January 24th at the Board of Governors meeting.
