DELAY IN SENDING LETTERS TO PRIMARY CARE PRACTITIONERS

MEDINZ 28/07/2021 4:10:30 PM

There is a backlog of transcription work within our transcription team across many services within MMH which is leading to a delay in sending letters to Primary Care Practitioners. CMH would like to apologise for this delay and assure you that we are working as quickly as possible to reduce our backlog and minimise the risk to patient care that a high backlog of work may cause.

We're receiving high volumes of re-referrals because referrers have not received updates for their patients as a result of the transcription backlog. Before sending repeat referrals, please consider looking up appointments on the Visits tab in Testsafe, emailing customerservice@middlemore.co.nz, or using the “Administration only” option on the eReferral Addendum.  See flow chart attached for further information.

If you have any questions, please contact Stella Williams on 021874179 or email stella.williams@middlemore.co.nz

This includes the Primary Care funding model and contracts.

NRHCC PRIMARY CARE WEBINAR - UPDATE ON THE COVID-19 VACCINATION PROGRAMME

Our next NRHCC primary care webinar is on Tuesday 3 August, at 5.30-6.30pm. Please register for this now: Register now

The webinar will provide an update on the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccination programme in metro Auckland. The NRHCC programme team and Primary Health Organisation’s will let you know what’s happening and the next steps, as we progress the rollout to Group 4.

The webinar will include:
  • How the on-boarding process is being streamlined so GP clinics and community pharmacies can start providing COVID-19 vaccinations more quickly.
  • Information about our equity approach.
  • A clinical update from Dr Nikki Turner, Director, Immunisation Advisory Centre (IMAC).
  • A questions and answers session.

The webinar is aimed at GPs and general practice staff, practice nurses and staff, primary care providers, PHOs, urgent care and pharmacies.

We received excellent feedback from our well attended webinar last month. There were a few comments about the late timing and long length so we’re trialling an earlier start and shorter format for this webinar. We hope this new time works for you.

If you’re not able to attend, please register and we’ll send you the webinar recording afterwards.
