Festival Highlights!
JFF 2014 opens with a visual feast for the eyes and a window into the world of geisha. Lady Maiko is a musical comedy directed by Masayuki Suo (Sumo Do, Sumo Don't;
Shall We Dance?) and has been described as Suo's version of My Fair Lady. Read Variety's review, or visit our website for more comedies. (For those who loved Thermae Romae, Hiroshi Abe is back in the hilarious sequel, Thermae Romae II).

A special treat for anime aficionados. Don't miss Katsuhiro Otomo's (Akira), Short Peace, (pictured right), an anthology of four shorts from Japan's most talented creators.

Families and kids will love the live-action adaptation of Kiki's Delivery Service

Action can be found in the Rurouni Kenshin trilogy as already announced.

And foodies would absolutely adore A Tale of Samurai Cooking - A True Love Story featuring traditional Japanese cuisines from age-old recipe books.

All this and plenty more! Visit our website for the full program.
(Psst! Brisbane, Perth, Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne - more titles yet to be announced coming your way!)
