We are having fun with our events at new location  DSocialKitchen - this week we cooked up a Late Summer feast (with a few adventures along the way) and I focused on one of my favourite tart recipes ever.  Like many good things its based on one of my my Mum's recipes, this time her classic Raspberry Almond Frangipane tart. Here I've made it with a lighter pastry made with olive oil and nuts in the pastry too. You might want to experiment with it as a quiche crust too...think pear and blue cheese tart...especially good Autumn fare. 

Heads up about a very exciting new project with Slow Food Bucuresti : Slow Food Brunch "editie Beer n Mici" on Sunday 25th September 12-4pm at DSocialKitchen beautiful courtyard.  Im working with some amazing food artisans making artisanal breads, sausages, beer and cheeses and together we are going to cook up a feast! Its great to see such dedication to excellence and they are bursting with enthusiasm for what they do. watch this space!
