Some foods nurture and rebuild us. Some foods help our bodies heal and grow. But eating healthy has to be about fun and pleasure too - that's been the philosophy of my Mum all her life and she is here to share with us lots of her secrets. How she cooks with herbs and fresh leaves (mainly from her garden, but we have been down to pta Obor here instead and into the "padure" to gather up nettles ("urzici" ) and chervil ("hasmatuchi") and "untisor" which we think is land cress. We experimented with that most simple of gastronomic delights an "omelette fines herbes" and Alina's mums fluorescent yellow yolked eggs in case you wonder why the bright yellow! Helping us along will be Andie from Andies Veggies and her lovely blog all about vegetarian food. Andie too has the approach of honest simple food incorporated in to daily life.
