Dear <<First Name>>,

Stories from the kitchen

Being Wild About Transylvania seems a distant summery memory but it was only a couple of weeks ago we enjoyed temperatures in the mid twenties in Harghita county,
made loads of potato bread laden with porcini, red onions and walnuts…messed around with wild boar terrines en croute and got excited about the etymology of lingonberries.
We saw bears, the stags and most of all enjoyed the unique scenery and tranquility…with food made with the wonderful
local game and washed down with some decent wines.
Then it was back for a very personal Stirbey tasting presented by Jakob & Ileanna Kripp including all the twists
and tales of the restitution and the excitement of recreating the vineyard and bringing it back to life.
Then we covered the terrace with a light and airy wood and plastic "ARK" so you can enjoy winter sunshine too.  I wasn’t too pleased it got stress tested with snow so early in October but heh ho…we had Roast Beef and mulled wine to keep us warm.
With all this activity I've been hard pressed to write up recipes but have been very busy in the kitchen making rose hip jam,  steak pies and lots of crumble to name a few. Just one recipe I really must advise you never to try: boiled smartphone. Although fast and results are instantaneous there are better melting moments to be had.
