The session has called a congregational meeting for this Sunday following worship.  The agenda for the meeting will be election of elders, election of a nominating committee, review of the pastor’s call, and presentation of the budget for 2020.

St. Luke's Christmas Dinner
Tomorrow!  We bring the Christmas spirit to our diners by making a traditional holiday meal and serving our guests at their table. To accomplish this, we need more than our usual number of volunteers. No previous serving experience is needed just mark your calendar for December 14th from 3:30-5:30pm, St. Luke’s United Methodist Church (480 S. Highland Street). For questions, contact Susan Baldwin at 901-605-7704.

Christmas Joy Offering
We will be collecting the offering this Sunday and next Sunday.  50% goes to assist current and retired church workers and their families who are in financial need and 50% goes to help students learn and grow in faith at Presbyterian-related schools and colleges equipping communities of color.

Decorating for Advent
Please help us adorn our sanctuary this Advent by bringing ornaments each week that follow our Advent themes: 12/15 - Joy; 12/22 - Love. Ornaments can be hung on the wreaths in the sanctuary beginning with the panels closest to the front.  (Ornaments can be brought from home or feel free to make one!)

Christmas Pageant
Don't miss the annual Christmas Pageant taking place during worship next Sunday!

Caroling
All joyous singers are invited to come caroling after worship on Sunday, December 22. We will make visits and sing to some long-time members of the church family.  We will caravan from the church.  Please see Cindy Allen if you would like to join in the fun.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
Will be held at 5:30 pm.  Please join us for this beautiful event.

Winter Room In The Inn (RITI) begins in just one week! Once again, we will be opening our doors for our neighbors experiencing homelessness in our city. This winter, we are hosting each 1st Tuesday & 3rd Wednesday from November through April. We will also open our doors in Emergency on nights where temperatures and host participation is low. We want to make sure that no one seeking shelter is turned away and left unsafe on Memphis's coldest nights. We need your help to keep these doors open. Bookmark and keep a close eye on our Sign-up Genius site to see how you can help. We have also created a new registration form to help us organize our volunteer base a bit better. We would greatly appreciate it if you would take a moment to submit your response to us as soon as possible. Please consider joining us so that we may keep our doors open to support this mission. We thank you for your continued support as we work to make sure our beloved guests are fed, showered, well-rested, and safe.

Our Sign-up Genius is up and ready for all of our upcoming dates. There are many opportunities to jump in so please take a look and see what spots are still open and what role best suits you.

Love Is Our Doctrine, Service Is Our Prayer

Thank you again to each and every one of you who jump in to make this program successful time and time again. Most of our guests praise the work we do and tell us that Neshoba feels like home. I hope we continue to offer that feeling to each and every guest and volunteer who walks through our doors.
