REA Bioenergy Strategy: Cross-sector workshop co-hosted with Supergen Bioenergy Hub, 12 April, Aston University

All members of the Renewable Energy Association (REA) are invited to this workshop to feed into the REA’s Bioenergy Strategy and the work of Supergen Bioenergy Hub.
This workshop will explore the future policy and regulatory framework that will be required to realise a 2030 vision for bioenergy, as well as identify the key priorities for research, development and deployment. We will also be using the day as an opportunity to engage directly with industry to further inform and focus our research. More details and the full agenda are available on the REA website.

UKRI greenhouse gas removal community dissemination event organised by BBSRC, 29 April, Birmingham

This meeting will assess sustainable routes for large-scale removal of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere. It will support the UK in meeting the Paris Agreement by making a major step towards achieving net-zero emissions, and place the UK in a leading position to benefit from the £400 billion future global market in greenhouse gas removal.
UKRI would like to enable a broad range of researchers with interest in activities related to GGR to attend the community meeting, with particular encouragement for researchers with experience of working across disciplinary fields. Registration will close on 22 April. Find out more.

Advanced Propulsion Centre and University of Brighton: The future of thermal powertrains and fuels, accelerating decarbonisation through enhanced collaboration, 25 April, Warwick University

This seminar and workshop will discuss how engines and fuels communities can improve cooperation on the future development direction. Find out more and register.

International Clean Energy Challenge: 33 under 33

World Sustainable Energy Days is inviting 33 young professionals under 33 (born after 1985) to tackle the energy transition challenge in an event of collaborative thinking across disciplines. Participants will develop concrete solutions for sustainable energy in buildings, industry and transport. The deadline for application is 10 April 2019.  Find out more at
