Families and Schools Together
ESPaCC are looking to develop groups within schools, or clusters of schools, to share information and ideas. These groups would be joint ventures between SENCOs, Parents, and ESPaCC, and would give everyone the opportunity to learn together. If you think you or your school would be interested, please contact Aisha Brown on
Parent Consultation Group meeting re the ISEND Strategy
To be held: 25th June 10.30am to 12noon, in Chairman’s Function Room, Westfield House, County Hall, Lewes

The draft ISEND Strategy is the document that clearly lays out the priorities for Inclusion, SEN and Disability in East Sussex between now and 2018.  It is really important for us to have input from parent carers to make sure the strategic direction and aims of the content of the strategy align with the needs of all stakeholders. In addition to consulting with parent carers we will be meeting with school representatives.  We aim to publish the final version before the end of July 2015.

We would really appreciate you finding time in your busy lives to come along and share your thoughts. If you are able to come please contact Kerry Baldwin at
Local Offer - Volunteers needed!
Part of the SEN reforms mean that the Health Service departments have to provide "offers" giving some key information about their service.  Basically they answer a series of questions.
We need to have some parents/carers evaluate some of these offers before they are published, preferably people who have used the service.
Each offer would probably take about forty minutes.
You choose how many you want to do.
Let us know if you could give up a bit of your time for this valuable exercise by emailing Kerry at We will then send you more details.
