CQC Ofsted Local Area Inspections

Together for Short Lives launched You Can Be That Nurse, a campaign to encourage nurses to work in the sector and help bridge the care gap. The campaign launched with a film featuring three nurses at different stages of their career in hospice, home and hospital.

The film tackles some of the taboos around children’s palliative care by highlighting how rewarding these nursing roles can be; building strong relationships with families and providing holistic care right from the point of diagnosis through to end of life and beyond.

Chailey Heritage Pathways
Chailey Heritage Pathways will offer highly specialist care for children, young people and young adults with physical disabilities and/or sensory impairments and associated health needs both at home or in the community. Chailey Heritage Foundation is recognised as one of the UK’s leading centres for children and young adults with neurological motor impairment such as Cerebral Palsy. How We Can Help
We will provide community support whenever and wherever needed. This could range from a few hours to all day, at weekends, evenings, before or after school and during school holidays. Our team of highly skilled support workers will work closely with individuals, family members and other professionals to deliver a person centred package of care and support. Each team member will have all the necessary training to ensure each individual's needs can be met, this will include:
• Enteral feeding e.g. PEG/JEJ
• Epilepsy & emergency medication
• Ventilation
• Suction
• Oxygen
• Medication
We will also look to develop skill sets in order to meet further or changing needs.
