Mental Capacity, Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection
ESPaCC is hosting a presentation by Philip Warford from Renaissance Legal on 9 February 2017 from 9.30am at the Kings Centre in Eastbourne.  The fundamental principle of the Mental Capacity Act is that no one has the right to make decisions on behalf of a person when they turn 18. The reality of this is not so clear for a disabled or vulnerable person as they may be able to make certain day to day decisions, but struggle to understand other more complex decisions concerning their finances and welfare.
