New Year Memes.001

Our family started the year celebrating! Our son received his law enforcement badge at a beautiful ceremony. His beautiful wife pinned his badge onto his new sheriff uniform, and the crowd applauded! We are so proud of his accomplishment. Now begins more mama prayers…Lord, please keep him safe as he serves our community!

Life Applications of the Writing Process

Did you know the parts of the Writing Process have real-life applications in many areas of life? Let’s explore how we can apply each step.

Let’s look at the first step, Brainstorm!

Life Application: The brainstorming techniques used in the writing process are the same techniques used by many businesses to aid in problem solving. Companies use these techniques to jolt “out of the box” thinking and spur on creativity. They are also used in professional marriage/family counselling to help struggling couples work as a team to solve issues. Consider using brainstorming techniques when you are trying to solve a problem in your home. Remember, the goal in brainstorming is to gather as many ideas as possible. Count every idea as a win. I know brainstorming can get a little crazy, but your enthusiastic participation will create a safe place for everyone to share ideas. There is something satisfying and rewarding when ideas are shared. In your life, where can you apply the techniques of brainstorming?

Next week…we’ll look at the Make a List step!
