THE I LOVE YOU PROJECT

Frankfurt/Giessen!

Last summer we shot the Hessen video of participants in Frankfurt & Giessen at The Dream Factory and Cafe Amelie. The video premiered at Berlin's 48-Hour-Neukölln annual art festival June 14-16, along with portraits covering the walls at Schillerpalais. The video, edited by Santina Amato and Debbie Davies with original score by Julius Schön, is now live on our website and on Vimeo. We hope to exhibit in Frankfurt  in Autumn.

Berlin, Germany!

The 48-Hour-Neukölln art festival brought crowds into the area for this annual Berlin event. We recorded over 120 people saying "I Love You" in languages including Farsi, Finnish, Russian, and Slovak. Schillerpalais exhibited photos and videos. We recorded new participants there and La Pecora Nera restaurant. We will soon begin work on music and video editing. See new photos on our website.

Bari, Italy!

Our Hessen and Barcelona videos have been selected for the Art Expo in Bari, Italy. The Liquid Borders exhibition of photography and video will take place July 3-31. You may see our videos in the Castello Svevo everyday 9:00-6:30 and Santa Teresa dei Maschi from Monday to Friday 9:00-2:00; Tuesday and Thursday 3:00-6:00. We don't have plans to shoot new participants, but that may change!

Making social art creates a lot of bills and credit card charges. We've been lucky to have collaborators who can wait a bit to be paid, and we're frugal in our expenditures. We've applied for grants, but haven't been awarded any yet. We're hopeful, and depending on the public, friends, family, and associates to contribute. Donate to our Rockethub campaign here. Help support a project that breaks down cultural walls and brings people together through an art platform.
