Bringing Love to Ukraine

Very excited about the recent New York Post article about The I Love You Project and our upcoming July trip to Kiev, Ukraine to exhibit and conduct the project at 8 Bit Gallery.

We will exhibit 300+ photos shot by New York visual artist Debbie T. Davies from our projects conducted in Barcelona and the German cities of Berlin, Frankfurt, and Giessen; along with our two completed videos - Barcelona and Hessen. The videos feature participants recorded with a digital microscope camera saying "I Love You" in different languages. This ongoing social art initiative celebrates diversity and attempts to connect strangers of different cultures together through an art platform exploring the concept of love. The original soundtrack of voices and music was created by Julius Schön. Videos were edited by Davies, Santina Amato, and Kendall Smith.

We hope to collaborate with
From Ukraine With Love, which is a local Kiev organization that presents modern Ukraine to the world via beautifully designed products and a positive message.

Our project will also expand into a documentary. We will film behind the scenes footage of the project as it unfolds in Kiev, and photograph participants being recorded and telling their stories. We hope to interest the New York media community to feature the completed project photos taken with our quirky microscope technology and the documentary photos. If you are interested in covering the story, The New York Post article and press release for the Ukraine project are below.

We are still working on the videos from last year's project in Berlin, Germany. We need funding to complete it so that we can include this version in our Kiev exhbition. Please tell your friends to consider making a donation to our project.
