What a year 2015 has been!  

From the announcement of Major Lazer, MØ, and DJ Snake's "Lean On" as Spotify's most streamed song of all time, to the additions of much-watched new talent like Joey Bada$$ and WatchTheDuck to the Reservoir roster, it's been an incredible twelve months for our entire family. Join us in reliving our favorite highlights from the past year below. 

58th GRAMMY NOMINATIONS
The 58th Grammy Award nominees include nods to the following outstanding artists and Reservoir releases:

Chaos and the Calm by James Bay is nominated for Best Rock Album. The album features the song “Move Together” written with Jamie Hartman. Fun fact: “Move Together” is the track that got Bay discovered.

If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late by Drake is nominated for Best Rap Album. The album features three Reservoir cuts: “6 Man”, which samples The Roots' â€œYou Got Me”, written with Scott Storch; and “Legend” and “Madonna”, both of which sample Ginuwine’s “So Anxious”, written by Stephen Garrett and Benjamin Bush.

2014 Forest Hills Drive by J. Cole is also nominated for Best Rap Album. The album features the song “G.O.M.D.”, which includes a sample of “Get Low”, written by Jonathan Smith (aka Lil Jon).

Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ãœ by Skrillex & Diplo is nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album. The album features the song “Febreeze”, featuring and written with 2 Chainz.

My Favorite Things by Joey Alexander is nominated for Best Jazz Instrumental Album. The album features the jazz standard â€œLush Life”, written by Billy Strayhorn.

My Dream Duets by Barry Manilow is nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. The album features “Sunshine On My Shoulders” performed by Barry Manilow & John Denver, and written by Dick Kniss and Mike Taylor.

Interstellar by Hans Zimmer is nominated for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media.

Seven of the industry's most-watched writers and performing artists joined the Reservoir roster this year, as did two hit-rich catalogs. Get to know them here:

WatchTheDuck are an artist/producer duo who specialize in "electronic soul". In addition to hosting guest artists Pharrell, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, and more on new release The Trojan Horse, the act has written and produced for Beyoncé, Iggy Azalea, and T.I., among others. Press Release

Joey Bada$$ is an internationally celebrated independent hip-hop artist. His first studio album, B4.Da.$$, was both the #1 rap album and #1 independent album in the country during its premiere week, and Bada$$ has collaborated with respected peers like A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, Action Bronson, and Statik Selektah. Press Release

Statik Selektah is a hip-hop producer, DJ, radio show personality, and record label executive. His 200+ song catalog boasts collaborations with Raekwon, Talib Kweli, Mac Miller, Action Bronson, and Joey Bada$$, among others. Press Release

British singer-songwriter Lucy Rose recently released her second full length studio album, Work It Out, under Sony Music/Columbia Records, which made a top 10 UK debut thanks to popular singles “Our Eyes” and “Like An Arrow.” Lucy's songwriting is also featured on the cut "Innermission" from rapper Logic's #1 R&B/Hip-Hop release, The Incredible True Story.  Press Release

Ireland's #1 electronic act, Le Galaxie, released their major label debut album, Le Club, to universal acclaim earlier this year.  The group is a regular on the Irish festival circuit, and their past work has been nominated for Meteor’s Choice Music Prize’s illustrious Song Of The Year award. Midwestern 'experimental pop' band ON AN ON is widely praised in the indie music scene for its intriguing blend of contemporary electronic sounds, retro recording methods, and unconventional song structure. Members Nate Eiesland, Alissa Ricci, and Ryne Estwing have made music together since 2003, when they began as the rock band Scattered Trees.  The band closes 2015 in the studio before heading out on tour again in 2016. Nicki Wells is a multi-language singer, songwriter, composer, and frequent collaborator of Nitin Sawhney. She has performed in prestigious venues around the world, lent her vocal talents to a number of film and television projects, and scored theatrical productions and films. Wells is currently at work on her debut album. Press Release

Classic American Southern rock band Molly Hatchet rose to prominence in the 1970s thanks to a unique blend of boogie, blues, and hard rock, as exemplified in its enduring keystone single, “Flirtin’ With Disaster”. The group continues to tour and perform heavily today. Press Release

Late songwriter-producer Allan Felder's catalog includes over 350 titles from the 1960s to present, including repertoire performed by legendary artists like Eddie Kendricks, The O'Jays, The Trammps, First Choice, and The Delfonics. Felder's works have seen samples and interpolations propel his past hits into the present, highlights of which include uses by Nas, LL Cool J, The Game, 50 Cent, and Mariah Carey. WRITER RECAPS

Just a few of the feats accomplished by Reservoir's talented roster this year:

MØ's "Lean On", performed with Major Lazer and DJ Snake, received an official Platinum certification by the RIAA, in addition to overtaking Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" to become the most streamed song of all time on Spotify and setting the pace of a Google Nexus ad campaign. The single's video was named the fourth most watched music video on YouTube in 2015. MØ recently performed "Lean On" and "New Year's Eve" at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in Oslo. 

Alt-indie duo Phantogram teamed up with Atlanta rapper Big Boi to form the supergroup Big Grams. The group dropped their first self-titled record and made late-night television appearances on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel Live. In addition, Phantogram landed major syncs in an Urban Decay ad campaign and a Grand Theft Auto promo. Meanwhile, Phantogram singer Sarah Barthel contributed to Miley Cyrus' latest project, Miley Cyrus and her Dead Petz.

Jamie Hartman contributed to the breakout successes of British indie rocker James Bay and Australian pop sensation Conrad Sewell this year. Bay was discovered by his label in a video playing "Move Together", which he wrote with Hartman for the Grammy-nominated album Chaos And The Calm; and Sewell's "Start Again", co-written by Hartman, recently won the ARIA for Song Of The Year. Hartman also placed cuts on releases by Kylie MinogueAnastaciaMarlon RoudetteMarina KayeSawyer Fredericks, and The BossHoss, in addition to penning original music for a Nissan ad campaign

Ina Wroldsen co-wrote and sings on the Calvin Harris + Disciples global hit "How Deep Is Your Love", which the group performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for their collective U.S. television debut. Wroldsen's other 2015 hit, "Hold My Hand" performed by Jess Glynne, reached #1 in the UK and is currently featured in a global Coca-Cola spot. Wroldsen had the honor of being named a judge for Pop Idol Norway this year, and picked up Best New Artist and Best Debut Single awards from Scandipop. Finally, Wroldsen's cut "Lionheart" made Demi Lovato's highly-anticipated fifth studio album, Confident, which debuted at #2 in the U.S.

Multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Nitin Sawhney released his 10th studio album, Dystopian Dream, to a warm reception, and embarked on a UK tour in support of the new release. Sawhney is currently at work scoring the soundtrack for Andy Serkis' The Jungle Book: Origins, in addition to working with newly signed Reservoir songwriter and artist Nicki Wells.

Artist-production team WatchTheDuck released their second studio album, The Trojan Horse, featuring collaborations with Pharrell, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, T.I., and more. The duo's past hit "Poppin Off" was synced in Open Road Films' Dope, appearing both in the trailer and in-film. 

Phil Bentley co-wrote the track "Secrets", performed by EDM giants Tiësto and KSHMR. The track was featured in an ad campaign for Electric Daisy Carnival Orlando. Later, his ballad "Half A Heart" appeared on the latest album from R&B crooner Seal.  In addition, Bentley saw several international hits this year with cuts on records released by Anastacia, Sabrina Carpenter, Showtek, Tenny, DJ Steve Powers, and Kumi Koda, among others.

Terri B! enjoyed huge success with "Blind Heart", an EDM cut by Cazzette, co-written and sung by Terri. The song went to #1 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart in addition to landing a sync in a Spotify + Uber campaign. Following the release of a track with Laidback Luke, 2015 also saw Terri B! release her first solo track in six years with "I’m Coming Back".

Brooklyn rapper Joey Bada$$ released his first studio album B4.Da.$$, which topped the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart upon release. The album cut "Curry Chicken" was placed in the film and soundtrack for Warner Bros. Pictures' Creed. Bada$$ hosted a multitude of collaborations this year, including projects with Korean rapper Tablo, American rock band Fall Out Boy, and indie darling Kiesza, in addition to performing on his global World Domination Tour.

Celebrations for legendary jazz composer Billy Strayhorn's centennial birthday took place throughout the year, culminating in festivities on November 29th, when the NYC MTA paid homage to Strayhorn's "Take The 'A' Train" by running vintage A train cars throughout the city, including underground performances and back-to-back shows at Jazz At Lincoln Center's Dizzy's club.  Additional tributes held this year included the exhibit and release of the book Billy Strayhorn: An Illustrated Life; performances by child prodigy jazz pianist Joey Alexander, who included "Lush Life" on his Grammy nominated debut album; and a reissue of Strayhorn's Out of the Shadows box set.

DJ, producer, and songwriter Statik Selektah released his seventh studio album, Lucky 7, this year, spawning the lead single "Beautiful Life" featuring Action Bronson and Joey Bada$$. Statik spent much of 2015 performing around the globe on Bada$$' World Domination tour. He also penned original music for a Space Jam-inspired Nike Jordan campaign featuring Marvin The Martian and LA Clippers forward Blake Griffen, and opened a studio in Brooklyn.

Beatchild & The Slakadeliqs received a SiriusXM indie nomination for Soul/R&B Artist of the Year, a nod that places the multi-talented musician among such internationally-celebrated indie acts as Hozier, St. Vincent, FKA Twigs, Future Islands, Spoon, and even Jason Aldean. His collaboration with Melanie Durant was also synced in a Latin American consumer goods ad campaign.

Writer and producer Danja released his record Premonitions, an instrumental R&B album featuring seven intergalactic-sounding tracks. He also placed cuts on albums by Jason Derulo, Chris Brown, and Monica, in addition to landing an in-game sync in Grand Theft Auto.

2 Chainz dropped the third installment of his TrapAVelli mixtapes this year, in addition to releasing collabs with a host of artists including Skrillex & Diplo, Jordin SparksMajor Lazer, Travi$ Scott, 50 CentRaekwon, and Tech N9ne. His music was synced on projects including HBO's Ballers, a Need For Speed trailer, Amy Schumer: Live At The Apollo, a Beats By Dre ad campaign, and a promo for Fox's Empire. In addition, Chainz launched his TRU Label and studio with Street Execs.

Legendary film composer Hans Zimmer has announced his first ever live tour spanning two months and 18 cities across Europe.
