Event Manager

Lightware’s free, built-in control solution, the Event Manager generated huge interest at InfoComm 2016, as it can provide the necessary control in smaller to mid-size configurations without further costs. This means a great sales advantage for products which include this tool: the MMX6x2-HT series, most Lightware extenders and the MODEX line. These products with Event Manager are more than ideal choices for classrooms, huddle and conference rooms, control rooms and home cinema applications. Event Manager can perform a selectable (control-) action when a predefined condition is detected. This built-in control tool received substantial upgrades with the latest edition of the Lightware Device Controller software application and the new device firmwares.  Now a delay can be added between the condition and the action and more actions can be triggered by a single condition change. With the help of the ‘condition count’ and ‘action test’ features, the predefined settings can be tested before going live. The system can recognize infrared commands which can also be set as conditions, and commands can also be sent via Ethernet. Assigning an action to a condition is quick and easy with the Wizard function of Event Manager.

New Optical Extender Available Soon

HDMI-3D-OPT-TX210A is a 4K UHD HDMI multimode single fiber extender, which is expected to be released to the market in the coming fall.
The device extends HDMI 1.4 and DVI 1.0 signals with HDCP over one multimode fiber and transmits video signal with embedded audio to a distance of up to 2500 meters. The model’s RAK subversion also extends RS-232 and USB KVM. The unit features the proprietary Advanced EDID Management and Pixel Accurate Reclocking Lightware technologies. Galvanic isolation between source and display helps avoiding ground loops and hum effects. No delay occurs in the signal during optical conversion, the video image is transported without frame latency, which is crucial in 3D applications and systems where audio is processed separately. To simplify installation and reduce costs these versatile fiber extenders can be directly connected to a Lightware MX or a 25G Hybrid matrix router. The devices can be installed on rack or used standalone, and have a twist-to-lock DC power plug for operational safety.

Lightware at InfoComm USA 2016

The exhibition was a great success, we are happy that out of the almost 40,000 visitors so many were curious to learn about the new Lightware products we presented and visited our booth.
Our HDBaseT-based TPS extension solutions generated probably the most interest, as this was typical of the whole event. Our TPS range serves the needs of smaller and mid-size applications, like the rather popular MMX6x2-HT matrices or the various TPS extenders.
Though the MX modular matrix series is not a newcomer, but it is a reliable and trusted product range with a good reputation among users and an appealing choice option to those who just met the MX family at the event. The new MX ‘half & half’ board with four HDMI and four TPS inputs helps in introducing the product in the smaller application segment as well.
The buzzwords of the show were 4K@60Hz resolution, HDM2.0, HDR and IP convergence. With the upcoming products in our current development programs Ligthware is well positioned to deliver these technologies among the firsts in the industry.
