PDX EXA! Portland Expressive Arts invites you to meet the work and teach the work!
It’s a new year
and it may be time to make good on your promise
to invest in yourself!
1. Get credentialed
We follow the professional standards set by ISMETA, one of the main credentialing boards for Somatic Movement Therapy and Education.
The 500-hour Embodied Expressive Arts training comes in two levels, requiring just 2-weekends a month of class time, over a two-year period.
Level 1 starts March 2016!
Level 1 Embodied Personal Development - a 250 hour program that teaches you the foundational skills to work with the body, movement and the expressive arts tools.
Level 2 Embodied Professional Credentialing - a 250-hour program that goes further in your work with others and prepares you to work as a Registered Somatic Therapist in private practice and in groups.
2. Sign up for one of our Intensive Workshops
This intensive will not only introduce you to a key EXA technique of body-part isolation and exploration, it will give you a chance to begin a personal ritual of well-being.
Pas de Trois - the dance of three - Head, Ribs, Feet
Experience what the only Embodied Expressive Arts 500-hour training program in Portland has to offer. In this Intro Workshop you will learn about the program and you will have the chance to experience first-hand, the discovery of a you-centered practice in this two hour workshop.

Expressive Arts Education is a process that meets individual needs for physical, mental and emotional expression, growth and healing. Patterning lessons from early childhood development, we start from a place that is safe, open and free from judgement. Professionals make use of this work in many fields such as healthcare, education, counseling and mentoring/coaching or for personal/creative development.
