As a passionate educator (parent or teacher!), we’d like to invite you to join us for our 3-part series of webinars on literacy development presented by Ros Lugg, leading NZ dyslexia and literacy specialist.
Although there’s now a greater awareness of research in this field, it’s essential to understand how literacy develops. Only then do we understand why some children struggle and others don’t.
The Literacy Development series includes three webinars. Outcomes for each webinar are:
Webinar 1 – Key Stages of Literacy Development
Outcome: To understand the research behind literacy development, the stages learners go through and what can go wrong in each stage.
March 8th 2020 - 3:30PM NZT
Webinar 2 – Struggling Readers
Outcome: To develop a greater understanding of ‘why’ some children (particularly dyslexic learners) are failing and more confidence with your ability to cater for their needs.
April 12th 2020 - 3:30PM NZT
Webinar 3 – Eight's Too Late!
Outcome: To gain confidence with applying research-based methodology and apply those methods to improve literacy outcomes for all learners with particular reference to stopping learners falling through the gaps in the first place.
May 10th 2020 - 3:30PM NZT
You’ll develop an understanding of research-based methodology, more confidence about how to implement it with your learners and an awareness of the importance of the underlying processing and perceptual skills.
The first webinar is on March 8th. Click below to find out more details and save your seat.
