Introducing you to our new Holiday Reinforcement programme

Learning is a continual process. While school holidays are important, many students fall behind in their core literacy skills, particularly those who have been struggling anyway.

For learners who are already on the StepsWeb Course, our new Course Reinforcement section on StepsWeb is an ideal way to address this.
The Course Reinforcement section is a bank of lists under the ‘Wordlists’ button which directly reinforce each Level of the Course.

This resource bank is quick and easy to access – and can be used by teachers, or by parents.

Luckily, it’s relatively easy to stop that ‘holiday slide’, which means students won’t be demoralised when they start back at school.

StepsWeb is so effective it can be a real game-changer for struggling learners.  It’s quite possible to make significant progress, particularly over the long summer holidays, or over lockdown periods.

One of our parents, Sarah Elcomb, describes her dyslexic son Eddie's experience with the programme.
"Eddie had been struggling for several years, despite regular specialist tuition," she says. "Over the lockdown period, he went onto StepsWeb instead and he worked independently through some of the main course. To my amazement, he's made over two years' progress with both reading and spelling - in less than two months. Eddie's teachers were amazed when he went back to school. He's now working through the workbooks and doing really well. It's transformed his attitude to school."
