StepsWeb News - Term 4

Hi folks and welcome back to Term 4. We hope all our StepsWeb families have had a safe, restful break and are ready and eager to return to school.

Meet Ella - our new Marketing Coordinator

We have welcomed a fabulous new addition to the team, Ella Marshall, who has just started working as our Marketing Co-ordinator.

Ella graduated in 2019 with a degree in Visual Communication, and has since accomplished many things, such as illustrating a children's book to educate young children on the complexities of friendship. With a knack for illustration, she's passionate about bringing stories to life through beautiful design and is excited to use her skills to express the StepsWeb vision.

Exciting New Developments!

In our last newsletter, we told you about the new student and teacher interfaces, which we expect will be available in November. We’ve now created a web page to give you more information about this:

We’d also like to give you advance notices of some Course changes coming through early in the New Year. We’ll be doing a webinar to take you through these changes nearer the time, but here’s a heads-up of some of the key developments you can expect to see:

  • Foundation levels for early learners
  • Activities to specifically introduce and practice letter sounds and phonic patterns
  • Extension levels for older learners
  • Online reading and comprehension activities
  • New range of printable supporting resources
  • New and improved workbook range

Calling for Schools to Participate in Case Studies

We are currently adding to our library of Case Studies to include on our website. We keep hearing about the successes schools are having with StepsWeb and we'd love to share some of the stories.

Case Studies are a great way to showcase your school's story and successes, which also helps inform new schools about how they can best use StepsWeb, both remotely or in-class.

We will provide a template and questions for you to answer. We would ensure you approve the final version before we publish it on our website.

If your school is interested in carrying out a Case Study at your school, please contact Anna Williams at

Lockdown Logins

We hope you’ve enjoyed the free licences and we appreciate the overwhelming amount of feedback and support. If you wish to continue your StepsWeb account, make sure you let us know before December 20, when the free logins end. If you do not wish to continue using StepsWeb then you don’t have to do anything, as you will not be charged.

For any new schools wishing to purchase their StepsWeb licence for 2022, we will add 3 months to your licence at no cost, giving a renewal date of February 2023. An excellent opportunity to reinforce holiday learning to ensure your students are stepping to success!

You’ll also be able to take advantage of the major new features we’re introducing (see above!), which will make it much easier to implement Structured Literacy principles in your school. We’ll keep you posted!
