Griswold Vigils to be Hosted Around the State
Every year pro-lifers throughout Wisconsin mark the anniversary of the June 7, 1965 Griswold v. Connecticut U.S. Supreme Court decision with prayer vigils at local birth control centers. The landmark Griswold decision paved the way for abortion on demand in America by legalizing contraception and defining the so-called “right to privacy†upon which the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision was based.
At the same time, however, these vigils also serve as a public celebration of the family and the joy that is experienced in following God’s plan for love and life. Participate in a Griswold Vigil near you!

Milwaukee/Waukesha County - The #PillKills campaign, already held in the Milwaukee area, was a resounding success! According to WIDOT statistics, over 8,000 southbound Highway 100 travelers may have seen the message that the pill does indeed kill women and preborn babies.
One of our participants noted based on the reactions from automobile occupants, that, “There were more guys who were FOR the pill than women.†He wondered out loud why that may be. Dan Miller replied, “The misunderstood part about the sexual revolution was that it put practically the entire burden on women to see to it that they didn’t get pregnant. Whenever a male version of contraception was introduced, men rejected it flatly. Contraception and abortion aren’t really for women – they are for men, so they don’t have to take any responsibility for their actions.†Dan followed up with my own question to our protest participant, “How many women were on the Supreme Court when Griswold and Roe were decided?†The answer is – NONE.
We were given many thumbs up from women and men alike. One lady rolled down her window to ask how the pill kills. We simply responded, “The pill is an abortifacient. It can chemically alter the lining of the uterus so that a newly conceived child is unable to implant in the womb, thus starving and dying. Also, the World Health Organization (WHO) has classified the pill as a Tier One carcinogen. It’s just as bad for you as smoking or working at an asbestos factory.†Cigarettes and asbestos are also filed under the Tier One category by the WHO.
Those that opposed our message screamed their dissent out of their windows as the rain poured in. The truth that the pill kills women and pre-born children attacks their world-view on “sexual freedom†– which is what got us into this mess in the first place.
The abortion industry knows exactly how important The Pill is to their profits. The Pill drives abortion numbers up, not down. The Brookings Institution did a study on this. Over a ten year period, 61 out of 100 women using The Pill will experience an unplanned pregnancy. That 61% failure rate is what fuels abortion numbers. Abortion becomes backup contraception.
The good news is that more and more women are rejecting The Pill. It messes with their body, chemically, in over 151 different ways.
