The number of abortion providers declined by 4 pecent between 2008 and 2011—from 1,793 to 1,720.

Happy New Year!

Pro-Life Wisconsin staff prays that you and your family have a joyous year.

Please keep Pro-Life Wisconsin in your prayers. Our mission is never ending, and despite the busyness of the turn of the calendar, we continue to work to save lives.

This year is going to be even greater than 2016 for the pro-life movement.

Mark your calendars for these 2017 events:

  • 40 Days for Life spring campaign starts March 1. Find more information at
  • Pro-Life Wisconsin's spring dinners, featuring Steven Mosher, president of the Population Research Institute, are Tuesday, March 28 in Waukesha, and Wednesday, March 29 in Madison.
  • Good Friday Stations of the Cross is Friday, April 14, at 9 a.m. at St. Rita of Cascia Catholic Church, 1601 N. Cass St., Milwaukee.
We are always looking to fill our calendars with more events. If you'd like to bring in a speaker or a pro-life video showing, let us help. Email

Pro-Life News

RELIGION IN VOTING: It shows not just ineptitude, but the ignorance of Democrats in not even pretending to give these (religious) voters a reason to vote for them. PLW: Religious freedom was at stake at this election, and the battle isn't over yet.

LIFE: Three months after Dorothy Spourdalakis told FOX 32 News she was helpless in coping with her son Alex, a 14-year-old with severe autism, she and the boy's godmother stabbed him to death. PLW: When society says it's OK to kill the most innocent among us - children in the womb - it eventually has to admit that it holds no life sacred.

NOT SAFE: This latest (Americans United for Life) investigative report focuses on the increasingly suspect safety record of America’s abortion industry. PLW: We've known that abortion is never safe for the child, and we continue to see how it's not a safe procedure for mothers, either.

SURVIVOR: Melissa Ohden, now 39, discovered that as a baby in the late ’70s, she had actually been aborted by her 19-year-old birth mother through a 5-day long saline abortion. PLW: This woman's survival shows us that God has plan for every person He creates.

NONPROFIT: Planned Parenthood has annual revenues of $127 million more than their expenses. PLW: Taxpayer funding of the abortion giant must end. Their safety issues, their misuse of funds and their disrespect of human life are enough reason, but they've also received 300,000 donations since the election.

CELEBRITY: NFL player Benjamin Watson says that despite the United States' acceptance of legalized abortion on-demand, the church must continue teaching that life begins at conception. PLW: We need more celebrities to stay strong in their faith and admit the truth about the dignity of human life like Ben Watson. We celebrate his strong stance.

ANOTHER MARCH: This march, though likely less attended than the March for Life in Washington D.C., will probably see more media attention as women demand abortion as a "human right." PLW: In 2016, we took 314 pilgrims to the Marches for Life in Chicago and D.C. We know this year's marches will be even bigger. Come with us.
