A Warm Welcome to Our New Affiliate, PLW Dodge County!

New PLW Dodge County Affiliate Leader Peter Frey and his family at the 2015 March for Life Chicago!

Do you live in or near Dodge County?  Are you looking for ways to get involved in pro-life activities?

Well, you’re in luck!  A new affiliate group has been established!

Pro-Life Wisconsin is grateful to our dedicated and hardworking affiliates across the state who provide local leadership and pro-life opportunities.  It’s with great joy that we announce and welcome our newest affiliate Pro-Life Wisconsin Dodge County under the leadership of Peter Frey.  When asked what inspired him to step forward and become a PLW affiliate leader Peter remarked, â€œI realized that not much pro-life activity was happening in my local county and wanted to help foster involvement.  I truly believe that Pro-Life Wisconsin’s 100% pro-life message and personhood approach is critical to ending all abortions in our state.  I want to bring that vision and empower our local community to build a culture of life in a variety of ways.”

Peter is hitting the ground running and currently coordinating the first affiliate event.  It’s still in the planning stages, but he’s coordinating an educational talk about the dignity of human life at the end of life and in medical decision making. Pro-Life Wisconsin’s free Protective Power of Attorney for Healthcare document will be available at this event.  Stay tuned for the details in future “Monday Update” emails and under Affiliate Announcements.

As a father of six beautiful children, Peter has experienced the joy of accepting children as a blessing and a gift from God.  What an excellent witness to the goodness of the Gospel of Life our new PLW Dodge County affiliate leader brings to this ministry.  We again welcome and ask God’s blessings upon Peter and PLW Dodge County.  If you’d like to get involved or personally welcome Peter, you can email him at

U.S. Supreme Court Refuses to Rule in Nuns' HHS Contraception Mandate Case

( The U.S. Supreme Court this morning chose not to make a ruling in Zubik v. Burwell about whether the Obama administration's controversial HHS mandate violated federal law.
Instead, the justices remanded the case back to U.S. Appeals Courts, telling the government and the plaintiffs to work together and find a compromise that would allow the government to provide contraceptives, abortifacients, and sterilization to all females without a co-pay while not requiring religious employers to take any active role in the coverage. The decision vacates the previous, conflicting rulings from the appeals courts and tells the two parties to start anew.
The brief filed by religious petitioners, of both Protestant and Catholic backgrounds, said they were willing to accept the mandate as long as they “need to do nothing more than contract for a plan that does not include coverage for some or all forms of contraception.”
