Wisconsin's primary election Aug. 9

Don’t forget to vote in tomorrow’s fall primary election, Tuesday, Aug. 9. Let your pro-life voice be heard!

Please keep the following in mind as you vote:

The Wisconsin fall primary is a “closed” primary, meaning you can only vote for candidates in ONE party.

Near the top of your ballot, you’ll see the option to select a party. This selection ensures that your votes will only count in the party chosen.

Choosing a party serves as a safeguard, in case you accidentally select a candidate in another party.

If you choose to not select a party at the top of the ballot, and then cast votes for candidates in more than one party, your entire ballot will be invalidated.

Selecting a party does not limit you in the general election in November.

Please check in with voting officials at your polling place or the Government Accountablity Board if you have questions.

Candidates on life

The Federalist: "The party of Hillary Clinton officially endorses unfettered killing of babies in the same earthly situation as Jesus. And they want to use my money to do that."

Life News: “On Hyde my position is the same I support the Hyde amendment,” Democrat VP candidate Tim Kaine said. “I haven’t changed that. As the vice president I have to get comfortable with the notion that I can have my personal views, but I’m going to support the president of the United States and I will.”

Right Wing Watch: "While the personhood movement has traditionally sat on the far-right fringes of the anti-abortion movement, in recent years Republican politicians like Mike Pence have brought the extremist cause into the GOP mainstream."

Pro-life news

The Capital Times: "The DHS' Office of the Inspector General found $63,813 in Medicaid overpayments at eight clinics throughout 2014. Those identified overpayments accounted for about 50 percent of total Medicaid payments."

Life News: "If science determined life began at conception, would Terri O’Neill, president of the National Organization for Women, still support abortion? "I don’t care. Of course, I would support abortion."

Refinery 29: "Good, moral women have abortions every day, and it’s my obligation as a physician and a person of faith to provide at least one counterpoint to the shameful feelings a woman has."

Christian Today: "A court in England allowed hospital officials to unplug a severely disabled 14-week-old baby from his ventilator and move him to a palliative care unit to die—all against the wishes of the young child's parents."
Each week, Pro-Life Wisconsin sends life-focused news to our supporters.
