Due to the current global health concerns, this year the ASWA convention will be postponed to a later date (TBD). Please note that everyone will be notified when a new date is set.
What’s the ASWA Convention and who can attend?
Each year ASWA hosts a convention and extends an invitation to members, employers and supporters. It is here that the leadership team comes together to strategically plan for the next year. It often means shifting direction, thinking outside the box, or simply moving forward as status quo.
The convention is also an opportunity to bring forth bylaw changes. Here is a link to the latest ASWA bylaws. The last time there was a proposal for change was in 2017. As always, if you should wish to bring forth a proposal for resolution - for a bylaw change, please forward the request to me at email@example.com and I will make sure they are brought forward for consideration at the convention.
ASWA Board of Directors
We also take this opportunity to vote in/re-elect new members and supporters for our Board of Director team. We are always open to new energy and thoughts from those who have expressed interest in the Association, or have an interest in or supported it in the past.
We like to bring members onto the Board who have a positive outlook and are committed to work with the team across Canada. The ASWA board of Director team meets on a biweekly basis to come together as a collective team to focus on potential opportunities across Canada that will keep the Association moving forward.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family good health during these trying times. Stay well and stay home if you can!
Thank you for your interest in the Aboriginal Skilled Workers Association.
