On the job – Personal stories

Keiran, Apprentice, Refrigeration/ Air Conditioning

Keiran says he really enjoys learning about refrigeration. "It’s something new almost everyday."

He says it offers lots of different skills to branch out into.

"You can get into a lot of different areas, and by seeing all those areas you’re able to specialize in the things that interest you the most."

Another thing he loves is that he was able to get a head start on his career in high school. "I was getting diploma credits for going to work, because the hours I worked got put towards my first year of (apprenticeship) schooling. I was already ahead of the game, and when I was done school I became a first year apprentice".
