The Network for Aboriginal Mining Education

Group offers resources, best practices info

Education can make a great venue for bringing people together, and the Network for Aboriginal Mining Education is doing just that.

The network is a group of educators, industry members, Aboriginal communities and others who are interested in improving the opportunities and successful education to employment outcomes of Aboriginal learners. It is one of a number of initiatives by the Mining Industry Human Resources Council (MIHR)

Members are encouraged to join the Network‘s LinkedIn Group where they can share resources, best practices, and have open discussions about issues related to Aboriginal education leading to mining employment. Interested parties can also email MiHR to sign onto the Network’s contact list or sign up to receive communications on new initiatives, reports, events and more*

Check out the MIHR resources page that provides members with a number of reports, studies and general information related to Aboriginal education and engagement in the mining and mineral exploration sector.
