Oil and gas industry jobs:
What you need to succeed

Common careers include:

  • Chemical Engineering Technologists help design, modify and sometimes operate plants, equipment and processes that produce petroleum products.
  • Civil & Structural Engineering Technologists assist structural engineers in the design, planning and construction of plants, well sites, pumping and compressor stations, terminals and storage facilities.
  •  Geological, Geophysical & Seismic Technologists generally collect and analyze geological data for petroleum exploration.
  • Surveying & Geomatics Technologists participate in field surveys and office calculations and plan production for a wide range of industry activities, including facility development, pipeline construction, and surface mining.
