THE WRAP

Welcome to the March edition of the Thin Red Line!

It's been a month of celebration across the board for Squash & Racquetball Victoria, with a number of awards ceremonies held over the course of the last few weeks.

At the top of the list was Victoria winning the State/Territory of the Year Award at the Squash Australia Awards Dinner in Townsville last weekend for the second year in succession.

It was one of five awards picked up by Victoria on the night, and you can read all about them in the News Desk section below!

Last Friday night also saw the S&RV Awards Night take place at the wonderful Mulgrave Country Club. It was fantastic to see so many members of the Victorian squash and racquetball community there, and a great night was had.

To view all the award winners and recipients from the evening, visit the News Desk section below.

Finally, S&RV's Pop Up Squash Shop concept was also nominated as a finalist in the Victorian Sport Development Initiative of the Year Award at Thursday evening's 2016 Victorian Sport Awards.

While the award was ultimately won by the Sport and Recreation Spatial (a Victorian University initiative in collaboration with Federation University), it was great to have a concept that proved so successful in introducing people to the sports of squash and racquetball recognised in such a setting.

Remember, contributions to the THIN RED LINE are always welcome! If you have any news about your club, venue, region, etc. that you would like included in the newsletter, please let us know - ben@eskimomediagroup.com.au.
