THE WRAP

Welcome to the July edition of the Thin Red Line!

Well after a mid-season hiatus, the PSA World Tour section of the Victorian Grand Prix Squash Circuit is now in full swing, with the 2017 Victorian Open Squash Championships completed last weekend and the Bendigo Open and Shepparton International events set to come in the month of August.

Well done to everyone involved, including all players, coaches, referees, officials, staff and fans who made this year's Victorian Open such a success. A particular thank you must go to the host venue, Mulgrave Country Club, for their wonderful hospitality throughout the week.

Congratulations to the respective Men's and Women's Open title winners, India's Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu and Hong Kong's Liu Tsz-Ling, as well as all the graded event winners. You can get a full wrap of the finals below (including replays of each final on Sunday), as well as the recap of each day by visiting squashvic.com.au.

The busy month of tournaments continue into August, with the Victorian Doubles Squash Championships taking place at MSAC this weekend, as well as the aforementioned Bendigo Open and Shepparton International events.

We also have the respective State Finals of the Secondary Schools Squash Competition coming up, so be sure to visit the 'Upcoming Events' section in the latter part of this newsletter for more information on each of these tournaments.

Remember, contributions to the THIN RED LINE are always welcome! If you have any news about your club, venue, region, etc. that you would like included in the newsletter, please let us know - ben@eskimomediagroup.com.au.
