This week is world Meat Free Week
(June 17-23). Already, the livestock industry contributes as much to climate change as all cars, trains, planes and ships combined. Scientists say by 2050 we need to produce and consume 50% less meat and dairy to escape severe climate breakdown and wildlife extinction. National Pollinator Week
(June 17-23) is a time to celebrate pollinators and spread the word about what you can do to protect them. The 2019 poster below by Carol Schwartz has over 40 pollinators showing on it. Disturbances such as habitat loss, climate change, and application of agricultural pesticides contribute greatly to diminishing populations and disrupting ecological interactions.
