Organisational Support
On 5 September DVA will be launching the Introduction to Good Governance Programme. Following the success of the Good Governance Award, we have developed a foundation programme that is suitable for small charities and charities that would like to complete a shorter governance programme before undertaking the full Good Governance Award. If your charity is looking to improve its governance, we can provide you with a clear framework, advice, and guidance to help you do so.
Focusing on 12 essential areas, including trustee activities, financial management, safeguarding, and impact measurement, the Introduction to Good Governance Programme has been designed to help charities assess and enhance their core governance practices. In order to successfully complete the programme, charities will need to evidence that they are engaging in best practice through the development of an online portfolio. Participants have access to resources and receive advice and guidance on how to best achieve this in their organisation. The registration fee for the programme is £100.
To register, or for more information, contact Beth Curzon at or call 01382 305724.

Independent Examinations

DVA can prepare and carry out Independent Examination of accounts for non-company registered charities and local groups with an annual income below £250,000.
