Humber LEP Newsletter - December 16
December has been another busy and productive month. Most recently the Government’s calls for new ESIF projects has provided new opportunity for the Humber region and beyond.
Likewise, 2016 has kept us busy here at the Humber LEP, with a number of key announcements, events and segments of funding.
We also look forward to another positive year ahead, as we swiftly approach 2017 – Hull’s City of Culture year – and aim to build on all that we have achieved within the last twelve months.
Call for projects – European Structural & Investment Funds
The Government has today published new calls for projects to seek funding from the Humber’s European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) allocation.
There are four calls for projects across the Humber, York, North Yorkshire and East Riding (YNYER) and Greater Lincolnshire LEP areas, amounting to up to £16.56m:

Making Changes for Careers Programme through the Youth Enterprise, assists young people to turn their ideas into businesses. Please see below two excellent exmaples from the MC4C team.

A new fund launched by DONG Energy will make available up to £9.3 million for community and environmental projects in coastal areas of Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and North Norfolk.
The East Coast Community Fund is part of the community engagement programme for DONG Energy’s Hornsea Project One and Race Bank offshore wind farms, which are located off the Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and North Norfolk coast.
Each year, for the next 20 years, approximately £390,000 will be available from the main fund to support a
Hemingway Bailey ltd apprentices Evie Molloy and Ruby Magson truly are Ambassadors for Apprenticeships in the Humber, studying with East Riding College, the apprentices have been supported through their journeys to become qualified Accountants at the Beverley firm.
While working with Hemingway Bailey, Evie now studies for her CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification after qualifying as an accounting technician with East Riding College in Beverley. The college have supported her throughout her time as a student and apprentice
The thirteenth year of Enterprise Week / Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) in Hull and East Riding once again celebrated enterprise and entrepreneurial spirit across the city.
The Hull Youth Enterprise Partnership said ‘It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to this report on Hull’s Global Entrepreneurship Week 2016, the thirteenth year the event has been held in our great city.’
