Dear <<First Name>>,
The eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed a couple of typos in the newsletter where we talked about February when obviously we meant March!

With apologies, here is the corrected version....

We're a little early with March's newsletter but there is a reason for this in that Monday is when booking for the Cambridge Festival opens. This is the first year for the festival, run by the University of Cambridge, but it takes over from, and combines, the Science Festival and the Festival of Ideas.

An Evening for Allan Brigham

In place of our usual talk for March we will be running a special event, as part of the Cambridge Festival, in honour of Allan Brigham who passed away last autumn.

It will be a live event on Zoom and will be a celebration of Allan's life and work. Some who knew him at work, as an author, a social activist, a historian and an inspiring tour leader will share their tributes. We will also be showing some rarely seen filmed material made by Allan for Anglia TV and the evening will end with a chance for anyone attending to share their memories and stories.

The event is on Tuesday 30 March at 7:30pm. To be part of the Zoom audience then you will need to register on Eventbrite at The Zoom link will then be sent out to all attendees the day before the event.

Note if you do have a memory of Allan you would like to share then please email to let us know so we can call on you during the event.

As usual we will also be live streaming the event on Facebook at and will archive the video on YouTube afterwards.

Book - Allan Brigham: A Brush with the Past

A new book has just been published collecting some of Allan's writings. You can find out more about it and order a copy at
