Ever wonder how Cleveland looks to an outsider? Antonia Cruz, the Spring 2015 Cleveland Foundation Creative Fusion artist-in-residence, has made images of her time in Northeast Ohio.
By manipulating collected imagery to create new work, Cruz forms a detailed study in the analysis of anatomic shape and the separation of the parts of the body from the whole. The concepts of identity, body and memory focus on the object of reflection as the photographic images are captured, compiled, classified and deconstructed to create new systems.
