"It’s up to us, the poor people, to help make governments aware of the problems relating to poverty. We may not succeed, but we have to at the very least try."

First voice perspectives will help end poverty.

At Canada Without Poverty, we believe the insights and experiences of people who have lived experience of poverty and homelessness are the key to ending poverty. That's why our Board of Directors is comprised of people who all understand poverty first-hand. Their perspectives and passion informs our work and drives the movement to eliminate poverty in Canada.

This year for GivingTuesday, we're sharing some of their stories. Read the profiles of board members Amanda Ens and K Brookland on what poverty is really like, and how we can end it. You can support stories like these and our work to eliminate poverty in Canada with a one-time or monthly tax-deductible donation

GivingTuesday is a global day for giving and volunteering to open the holiday season. Help us make sure the voices of people with lived experience are at the forefront of policy conversations by donating today
