Parent Assembly for Year 7, SDE, DGO and LMU
Monday 3rd December at 1.45pm- 2.45pm. As a part of SMSC, we teach our students to respect all religions and cultures. In order to celebrate this ethos, in the Autumn term, where most of the religions represented at Woodifeld have festivals, we are holding an assembly called 'Celebrating all Religions and Cultures.' Each of the above mentioned classes will be performing and parents are invited to come and support the children. Parents are able to take their child home at the conclusion of the event.
Autism Coffee Morning
Wednesday 28th November - 10.30am- 12pm
You are invited to attend Woodfield School for an Autism-awareness Coffee Morning to meet other parents and discuss any concerns you may have. This is an opportunity to learn new strategies & techniques to help your young person outside of school. Spaces are limited so please contact Patsy if you would like to book a space.
Parent Teacher Meetings for December
These meetings will be held over two evenings, Wednesday the 5th (for Key Stage 3) and Wednesday the 12th (for Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5) of December from 4pm - 7pm. The meeting time will finish promptly at 7pm, so make sure you arrive early enough to visit all the teachers you want to see. If you arrive at 10 minutes to 7, you will only be able to see a maximum of one teacher.
On Wednesday 5th December, the meetings are for parents and carers of pupils in Key Stage 3. Parents and carers of pupils in base classes (i.e. DGO (Miss Gonzalez), LMU (Mr Murray), SDE (Mrs Deorukhkar), 7ICR (Mrs Crosbie) and 7SHU (Miss Hussain)) should have received by, text and email, a link to book a twenty minute appointment with their child's form tutor. Other teachers (for subjects such as PE, Music, Art etc) are available for 10 minute interviews on a first come first serve basis.
Parents and carers of pupils in year 8 and year 9 can visit their child's subject teacher for a 10 minute discussion on a first come first served basis. Please note their will be no opportunity to see Mrs Crosbie (French) as she will be booked up with her tutor group interviews.
On Wednesday the 13th of December, meetings are for parents and carers of Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 pupils. All these meetings will be for 10 minutes of a first come first served basis, except for pupils in MDM (Mrs Del Moral) and Miss Henry (KHE) classes. Parents and carers of pupils in MDM or KHE class should have received, by text and email, a link to book a twenty minute appointment with their child's form tutor.
If you have any problems or questions, please contact the school office for assistance.
Winter Clothing
With the colder months approaching, we'd like to remind parent/carers of the importance of ensuring their child is wearing appropriate clothing? This includes hats, gloves and a scarf as well as a suitable winter coat. Do remember to check that all these items are labelled as smaller clothing items tend to go missing very easily and make it difficult to identify the correct owner. There are many sites on the internet where you can purchase sew on or iron on labelling for clothing for minimal cost. Click here for more details.
Sufra NW London
Sufra NW-London is a charity based in Stonebridge which provides a food bank and community kitchen services to those in need. Woodfield School is now working with Sufra as a referral agency. We are able to issue a voucher to parent/carer to enable them to visit and be provided with a food parcel which contains a week’s supply of food for the whole family.
If you require more information or assistance, please contact Patsy, our Parent Liaison Officer. Rest assured as always, that all meetings will be treated confidentially.
