Screening of a 3-episode documentary film that presents the stories of 13 Romanians living in Britain. The narrative, constructed through their eyes and brought to the audience by a handful of London-based Romanian filmmakers, as well as Richard Green, British travel journalist (who worked on the travel desk of the Sunday Times for 15 years and now freelances for several national titles) reveals the way Romanians live, work and integrate within the British culture. more

ROMANIANS IN BRITAIN: THE POSES OF ASCENT

As the celebrations of our National Day are about to unfold, we invite you to discover Ion Paciu's revealing portraits of Romanians from all walks of life who, in the past years, have come to call London their home. The exhibition, entitled "Revisiting Romania: Portraits from London", opened in 2014 at the Horniman Museum as part of a major programme celebrating Romanian identity, old and new, and was later shown by the British Embassy in Bucharest, on the occasion of the Queen’s Birthday Party, and at the Romanian Cultural Institute's headquarters. more
