|Spotlight on Action + Access: Rights and Demands of Gay and Bisexual Men in the Global HIV Response
MSMGF (The Global Forum on MSM & HIV) will host its AIDS 2016 pre-conference, Action + Access: Rights and Demands of Gay and Bisexual Men in the Global HIV Response, on 16 July 2016 in Durban, South Africa. The event will bring together 700 advocates, researchers, and service providers to discuss issues of concern for men who have sex with men (MSM) working to end AIDS. This year’s pre-conference will shine a spotlight on African LGBT movements and their role in the HIV response.
Action + Access will address issues ranging from criminalization to structural factors that block access to HIV prevention, HIV treatment, and other sexual health services. Sessions will also cover community best practices, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), sexually transmitted infections, and the use of Internet-based communications to reach MSM.
