WE ask that you take our super-short survey to help us know what kinds of rides and events you're looking for next year. Seriously -- it will only take two minutes!!

WE Bike NYC Dyker Heights Holiday Lights Meet-Up

Let's meet up to join the TransAlt Brooklyn ride to Dyker Heights! 

The Transportation Alternatives Brooklyn Activist Committee is hosting a fun social ride to see the brilliant holiday lights burning bright throughout Dyker Heights. 

WE'll meet at 3:30 pm before the ride begins at 4. WE'll ride with TA to see the lights -- and then WE'll gather for optional drinks after (near a subway station)!


WE Bike NYC December Happy Hour & White Elephant Gift Exchange

At this month's Happy Hour, WE'll be hosting our Fifth Annual Bike-Themed White Elephant Gift Exchange! Join us for this all-gender event, and bring a bike-related gift to swap. It can be used or new, $10-$15 value suggested.

Need an idea for a gift to bring?
-bike tools and patch kits
-bells
-lights
-reflective stickers
-bike maps/books
-water bottles and travel snacks
-safety gear
-gloves/socks/warm winter gear

Be creative, and feel free to re-gift stuff you already have and aren't using! Got a slightly-used messenger bag or backpack you don't want anymore? Not sure what to do with that saddle that didn't quite fit? One person's trash is another's treasure!

Meet us in the back room at Local 138, and the gift swap will start at 7:30PM! Bring a friend and spread the holiday cheer!

Brooklyn Cranksgiving
Saturday, December 2
1pm-6pm, Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Plaza, 1368 Fulton St, Brooklyn

Cranksgiving is a part bike ride, part scavenger hunt, food drive that helps feed those in need. Whether you choose to casually ride or race, you'll be stopping at different markets in various neighborhoods looking for specific food items that will get donated to Brooklyn-based charities. The requirements: get food and do it on a bike. All you need is a bike, a bag, a lock and some money to buy food.

3rd Annual Ride with Santa with Kidical Mass NYC
Sunday, December 3
9:30am-12:30pm, Travers Park, Jackson Heights, Queens

Dress as elves or decorate your bike and ride a 3.5 mile route through the neighborhood, stopping at 2 playgrounds and warming up with hot chocolate and Bunuelos provided by Penetros bakery. We will have traffic management from NYPD 115 Precinct. Dress Warm! Children riding independently should be comfortable riding their bikes in a close group. Younger children can ride on appropriate child carriers. All kids must be accompanied by an adult.

Brown Bike Winter Party

The Brown Bike Girl kicks off the winter party season with a winter bike party with food, beer, socializing, networking, AND giving a bike to a deserving cyclist in need. 

Santa Cycle Rampage

Dust off your Santa suit, buckle your helmet and get on your bicycle to join other Santa cyclists as we spread the holiday cheer throughout various neighborhoods in the Bronx for the Annual Santa Cycle Rampage.
